Built in a later classical style, Villa Sehmer is a 19th century listed building. Since 2002, the building has been home to one of Germany’s best restaurants, Gästehaus Erfort. The Michelin Guide awarded the restaurant its most prestigious rating in 2008 - boasting three stars, it joined an exclusive list of the nine best restaurants in Germany.
